Summary
This proposal is seeking support from the community to deploy a complete set of dForce protocols on the Linea mainnet.
Background
dForce was launched on the public Linea Testnet in early July ([Temperature Check: Deploy dForce on Linea]) and we have seen many positive feedback from community members, users, and partners since then. In addition, the dForce team is closely aligned with partner protocols in the Linea ecosystem.
dForce is more than a decentralized stablecoin protocol, it’s a DeFi matrix offering a complete set of protocols covering assets, lending, trading, and bridge. These functionalities facilitate a wide array of DeFi strategies, enabling dForce to serve as a critical piece of DeFi infrastructure to power developers building on top of dForce.
Motivation
Being a Linea Launch Partner
Consensys is organizing a significant promotion for the Linea mainnet expected in July. This includes marketing initiatives, partner highlights, IRL, and online presence. Aave benefits from these efforts through its testnet deployment and subsequent mainnet approval.
Market adoption
There are many benefits to a dForce deployment on Linea - a strong community, brand recognition, and most importantly, the first-mover advantage.
Linea is aligned with developers throughout the broader ecosystem via Consensys’ relationships with MetaMask, Infura, and Truffle, providing dForce access to a vast and well-established user base, and allowing dForce to capture the growth and interest of users.
